Offensive Player of the Week: TE Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt
After playing a critical role in the rout of Alabama, Eli Stowers earns Offensive Player of the Week honors with an overall PFF grade of 93.5. He was perfect from a receiving standpoint, catching all six of his targets and picking up six first downs en route to a 93.9 PFF receiving grade. His 113 yards accounted for nearly half of Vanderbilt’s passing yards, with 79 coming after the catch. Quarterback Diego Pavia and Stowers were certainly sharp as he recorded a 118.8 passer rating every time he threw to the tight end.
Defensive Player of the Week: LB Jacob Rodriguez, Texas Tech
Rodriguez played a key role in the big win over Arizona, recording three pressures and a forced fumble. All eight of his tackles resulted in offensive failures. Rodriguez rushed the quarterback just seven times, but was able to record a sack in one of them, giving him a 94.8 PFF pass-rushing grade per game.
Offensive Line of the Week: West Virginia Mountaineers
The Mountaineers’ left side of the line set the stage for the offense in the win over Oklahoma State, helping gain nearly 400 yards. Three of West Virginia’s starters earned PFF pass-blocking grades above 85.0 while not allowing a single sack the entire game. The unit earned an elite pass-blocking grade of 92.8 PFF.
