Monitor Travis Etienne Jr.health: Etienne suffered a hamstring injury and did not return.

Etienne has been limited in training over the past two weeks due to a shoulder injury. He played about 70% of the offensive snaps in each of the first three weeks, dropping to 52% in Week 4 and 38% in Week 5. Bigsby tank had the third-highest PFF grade for a running back, so it’s hard to say how much of the change in playing time and touches is due to Etienne not playing at 100% compared to Bigsby, who simply plays better than Etienne when he’s at 100%.

It was clear from the start of the game that Etienne would be coming on as a substitute more often than usual. Bigsby had as many snaps and carries on his first down as he had on first downs in his first five games combined.

Etienne played 50% of the snaps on the first drive and continued to play about 50% through the first three drives. He didn’t play as a top tackle in the first half and only took one snap in the second half before his day was over.

We saw more in the second half D’Ernest Johnson how Bigsby tanklargely thanks to the game’s script. Over the past two seasons, Bigbsie has played more at the running back position, while Johnson has played more at the receiving back position. If Etienne misses time, Bigbsy will be a player who could start in fantasy leagues. Even if Etienne doesn’t miss time, Bigsby could still lead the team for the rest of the season.

Evan Engram returns: The Jaguars’ leading tight end has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury.

Engram played fewer snaps in both the preseason and Week 1 than he did last season. He typically played about 80% of Jacksonville’s offensive snaps last season and 68% in Week 1.

The Jaguars started the game more conservatively with Ingram. In the first half, he played 56% of their offensive snaps, losing snaps Luke Farrell in more rushed situations, as he was in the first week, but at the same time lost some time to Brenton Strange.

Engram was still the target of the offense when he was on the field, and those plays went well, so Engram returned to playing about 70% of Jacksonville’s offensive snaps in the second half. He caught 10 passes for 102 yards. We can’t expect Engram to see such a high target rate in every game, but it’s still enough to safely put Engram back in fantasy starting lineups for anyone who wants to be conservative.

Chicago Bears fully cover 11 employees: Shane Waldron’s offense has evolved over the first six weeks to keep his best players on the field.

Over the past three seasons with Seattle SeahawksWaldron’s offense used 11 players on 55 percent of the first-half plays, excluding two-minute drills. This has caused many fantasy managers to worry about Keenan Allen And Rome Odunzeplaying time. The Seahawks have also been rotating players at tight end, raising concerns about Cole Farmer.

Through the first three weeks of the season, the Bears offense resembled the Seahawks in many ways. The Bears used 11 players on 60% of their snaps in the first half, excluding two-minute drills. The offense began to take off in week four. The Bears used 11 personnel on 69% of their snaps in Weeks 4-5, ranking ninth in offense.

This game saw their 11-man percentage increase to 88% in the first half. Personnel usage always changes in the second half depending on the game scenario and they went down to 11 men, but that was largely because they were winning. The Bears’ increased use of 11 personnel has helped. Caleb Williams and will also help Allen, Odunza and Kmet moving forward. Both DJ Moore and Odunze could be considered low-cost candidates after this game based on how good the offense looked.

Miscellaneous Notes

  • Gabe Davis has been limited in training for the last three weeks due to a shoulder injury followed by a knee injury. In the first two weeks, he played about 95% of his team’s offensive snaps, but that dropped to 76-79% of snaps in Weeks 3-5. This week his rate of sharpness has dropped even further. He scored two touchdowns today, but ideally he will see more playing time before being considered as a fantasy starter.
  • Bears running back rotation D’Andre Swift And Roshon Johnson has been stable for the last three weeks.

Notes on the table
  • Snaps include plays called back due to penalties, including offensive holding or defensive pass interference. These plays have been removed from the other three characteristics.
  • Targets may differ from official NFL sources. The most likely mismatch would be due to a clear throw where the NFL can pass the target to the nearest receiver but this data cannot.
  • Carries only happen in well-thought-out pranks. Quarterback scrambles do not count toward total carries in the game.
