Fans sympathize with India’s star batsman Virat Kohli After being “unfortunately” sent off on the third day of the second Test against New Zealand in Pune. With a mammoth target of 359 in front of them, India needed Kohli to stand tall alongside players like: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal I’m already back at the hut. Kohli got off to a decent start but was quickly blown out of the water by a brilliant shot from Mitchell Santer. The ball hit the front of his leg stump, causing referee Richard Illingworth to raise his finger.
Kohli intended to review the decision immediately, but ball tracking showed the ball could have clipped leg stump, meaning the decision could not be reversed.
Of course, Kohli didn’t like this decision one bit. He was clearly disappointed by the call and hesitated to return to the locker room before spitting it out.
After his dismissal, fans took pity on Kohli and labeled him the unluckiest cricketer of all time.
Here’s how fans reacted to Kohli’s dismissal.

It was just a little touch. He may not have been great on the field, but he was Virat Kohli and we were lucky to have him.
