13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has set another record and has now become the youngest player…

13-year-old sensational player Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to break new records. The left-handed batter, who became the youngest player ever to be auctioned in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in November when he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore, has now become the youngest Indian player ever who played the game. Suryavanshi broke the record after making his Vijay Hazare Trophy (Indian domestic one-day tournament) debut for Bihar against Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.

At the age of 13 years and 269 days, Suryavanshi comfortably beats the previous record set by Ali Akbar in the 1999-00 season when the latter played for Vidarbha at the age of 14 years and 51 days.

Suryavanshi continues to break age records, having already become the youngest player to play a Ranji Trophy match and having previously represented India under-19.

However, the debut did not go well for Suryavanshi, who died for 4 runs off two balls. After bowling the first ball for a boundary, Suryavanshi was dismissed by Aryan Anand Pandey’s very next delivery.

Bihar could manage just 196, which Madhya Pradesh chased down with ease. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star Rajat Patidar completed a half-century and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signed a contract worth Rs 23.75 crore. Venkatesh Iyer remained undefeated to the end.

Suryavanshi received his first IPL contract in November when he was bought by former champions Rajasthan Royals. He will play under the watchful guidance of the legendary Indian batter and coach. Rahul Dravid in RR.

Following this, Suryavanshi impressed at the U19 ACC Men’s Asia Cup, scoring 176 runs in five games at an average of 76 and a sensational strike rate of 145.
