Worried for Australia: Pat Cummins to undergo scan on sore ankle as Championship Trophy looms on horizon

Injury concerns have loomed over Australian captain Pat Cummins ahead of next month’s Champions Cup as the pacer faces scans on a “sore ankle” and chairman of selectors George Bailey refuses to confirm his availability for the marquee event. Cummins had been bothered by an ankle problem throughout the Australian summer but recently managed to lead his team to a 3-1 win over India in the famous Border-Gavaskar Test series. “Pat will obviously be on maternity leave soon,” Bailey was quoted as saying on Thursday.
