Boxing schedule for 2024: Alexander Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2, Emmanuel Navarrete vs. Oscar Valdez

It’s been a wild year so far in the boxing ring. Alexander Usyk was crowned the first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion after outboxing Tyson Fury. Undisputed (at the time) super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez bounced back to score a rousing victory over countryman Jaime Mungua before returning to Edgar Berlanger’s Outbox in September. And Gervanta Davis returned to the ring against Frank Martin and scored a brutal knockout.

Also, on November 15 Jake Paul won a clear decision against Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The fight didn’t live up to the unrealistic hype but garnered massive mainstream attention when it was streamed live on Netflix.

But with just over a month to go in 2024, there are plenty of big attractions left on the horizon. This includes a pair of fights featuring pound-for-pound talent.

Usic and Fury are set to rematch in Saudi Arabia later in the year. The pair will meet on December 21, with Usyk again looking to prove himself as the best heavyweight on the planet, despite being stripped of his IBF heavyweight title after the first Fury bout due to sanctioning body politics.

Undisputed junior featherweight champion — and pound-for-pound king — Nawa Inoue will be in action when he defends his four world championships against Sam Goodman on Christmas Eve in Tokyo.

Davis was also set to return to the ring before the end of the year to defend his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach. That fight has since been postponed and is expected to take place in early 2025.
