Consequences Ravindra Jadeja Disagreements at a press conference reportedly led to the cancellation of a scheduled T20 match between media representatives of the two countries. Ahead of the 4th Test between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja spoke to several reporters on various topics. However, a section of the Australian media suggested that Jadeja refused to answer questions in English and walked out of the media agreement before Australian reporters could ask him their questions. However, representatives of the Indian media contingent and the team’s media manager continue to deny this.

As a result of the controversy that erupted in Melbourne on Saturday, the match between journalists from the two countries covering the match in Melbourne was boycotted and ultimately cancelled. The match was organized by Cricket Australia.

According to AgeA section of the Indian team, along with the traveling media, decided to boycott the press match against their local counterparts, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon. The game was due to take place at Junction Oval in Melbourne but had to be cancelled.

Team India’s media manager is said to have withdrawn from the match, prompting some other participants to also withdraw their names. As a result, there were not enough players for the match.

As the controversy surrounding Jadeja’s Hindi-only press conference intensified, some Indian reporters said the media event was convened only for traveling journalists. Also, since Jadeja was asked questions in Hindi, he decided to answer them in Hindi. However, the Indian all-rounder never refused to speak English as suggested by the Australian media.

The fourth Test between India and Australia is scheduled to begin at the MCG on December 26.
