The Indian team was scheduled to cross the Wagah border on Wednesday for the event scheduled to begin on Saturday. “We play with passion and represent our country with immense pride,” Tompaki said in a media release. “We have always looked forward to competing on the biggest stage, but we miss this opportunity. It’s a shame,” he said.

“The team has been training hard and is enthusiastic about the game. However, we remain committed to the government’s guidance and the continued development of blind cricket in India.” “While the timing of the next World Cup remains uncertain, our commitment to our sport and our country remains steadfast,” the statement read.
