Former Indian national team batsman Shikhar Dhawan Although he shined in the world of cricket and gained immense fame, his personal life has been really difficult recently. Dhawan is separated from his wife Ayesha Mukherjee and has not been able to meet his son Zoraval in person for two years now. Zoraval celebrated his 10th birthday on Thursday and an emotional Dhawan couldn’t resist posting a heartbreaking post for his son. “Even though we are far apart, even though we can no longer connect like we used to, you will always be in my heart. Wishing you a year full of madness, love, and happiness, Zora Beta! ” Dhawan wrote on Instagram.
Dhawan, who made his debut in India in 2010, left behind a legacy studded with milestones. He has scored over 10,000 runs in international matches across formats, with 6793 ODI runs at an average of 44.11 and a strike rate of 91.35. His Test debut against Australia in 2013 was unforgettable, as he scored the fastest 85-ball century by a debutant and ended up scoring an astonishing 187 runs. In T20Is, Dhawan scored 1759 runs with a strike rate of 126.36.
Dhawan’s ODI talent was particularly evident during India’s 2013 Champions Trophy victory, where he scored 363 runs and won the Golden Bat Award. His consistency shone through in the IPL, where he scored 6,769 runs, making him the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament.
He has scored 2315 runs at an average of 40.61 in 34 Tests and 1759 runs in 68 T20Is at a strike rate of 126.36.
Dhawan represented Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings in the IPL and was the second-highest run-getter after Kohli. He scored 6769 runs in 222 matches with a strike rate of 127.14.
In domestic cricket, Dhawan’s early years coincided with Delhi’s Ranji Trophy success. He was part of the team that won the title in 2007-08 when Delhi defeated Uttar Pradesh at the Wankhede. He was also the top scorer at the 2004 U-19 World Cup.
