Former South African captain Faf du Plessis escaped serious injury after nearly colliding with a ball boy during an Abu Dhabi T10 League match at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. Du Plessis was thrown over the advertising hoardings, resulting in an awkward landing. The incident took place during the match between Morrisville Samp Army and Delhi Bulls on Wednesday. As the Bulls cruise to a 113 win, Tim David hit Isuru Udana for the border towards the additional coverage area.
Du Plessis tried for a long time to stop the ball, but he failed. However, du Plessis was unable to brake in time as the follow-up took him beyond the ropes.
As the two were about to collide, the ball boy, who crouched down to pick up the ball, inadvertently threw Du Plessis over the advertising hoardings. The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain landed awkwardly on the other side.
Luckily for him, du Plessis emerged from the situation unscathed. A video of the same incident appeared on social media.

Meanwhile, Samp’s Morrisville Army continued its victorious path as it advanced. Charit Asalankafiery innings and a huge bowling effort that led to a three-run win over the Delhi Bulls.
On a slow-turning track, Morrisville made the most of the Bulls’ missed catches. Charith Asalanka’s 25-ball, 51-run innings further helped Samp Army post 112/5 in 10 overs.
Tom Banton gave Delhi a good start in the chase, scoring 25 runs off 11 balls. But after Mohammad Zahid cleared his stumps with his first ball, the momentum began to shift towards Morrisville. After some tight overs from Mohammed Zahid, Qais Ahmad And Karim JanatMorrisville held down the Delhi Bulls until Tim David started to turn things around again.
In the final, Zahid scored two goals, turning the match into an exciting thriller. As Delhi needed five runs to win the last ball, David ran out and Samp Army won the match by 3 runs.
