• Jordan Mason To exceed his rushing total? Mason doesn’t offer the same receiving threat or explosiveness Christian McCaffreyBut he’s played a valuable role in one of the league’s most efficient offenses, playing 78% of San Francisco’s offensive snaps through four weeks (third-most among running backs).
• Have values George Pickens: The Steelers’ goal may be a run-heavy offense, but the focus on the ground game has opened up some value Pickens. He’s clearly the top target, catching a target on 25% of his routes — a top-20 mark among wide receivers. His 11 targets on passes of 10-plus yards downfield nearly equaled the rest of the team’s combined total (12).

This offseason, we worked to develop “Key Insights,” a new data-driven tool that will help provide betting guidance throughout the year. These insights look for strengths-on-weakness matchups that can make sense through a player prop lens and should start populating the PFF player pages as the season progresses.
To give a behind-the-scenes peak at the kind of information these insights provide, here are four of my favorite Week 5 player prop bets that emerged from the first run of our core insights tool.
