Fast bowler of the Indian cricket team Jasprit Bumrah will not play in the third Test match against New Zealand in Mumbai starting Friday, according to report Indian Express. India are already 0-2 down in the three-match Test series and the report says the team management is hoping to “rest” Bumrah ahead of the upcoming tour of Australia. The Indian cricketers are expected to fly to Australia on November 10 for a five-match series and Bumrah will join the team at that point. Meanwhile, head coach Gautam Gambhir on Thursday refuted claims that India’s spin bowling skill set has deteriorated over the past few years but believes the harsh nature of T20 cricket has affected the players’ defense.
