Rookie tight end Brock Bowers was a key player for the Raiders, catching 11 passes for 99 yards. With this performance, Bowers became the third rookie tight end in NFL history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a season, joining Mike Ditka and Kyle Pitts. He is now just 10 yards away from breaking Ditka’s 63-year-old record of 1,076 receiving yards, set in 1961.
On the other hand, Jaguars rookie Brian Thomas Jr. shined despite the loss, catching nine passes for 132 yards and a touchdown. His outstanding play set a new franchise rookie record for most receptions in a season with 73, surpassing Justin Blackmon’s mark in 2012 (64).

Raiders tight end Brock Bowers led the team in receiving yards with 99, catching 11 of 13 targets. Six of his receptions moved the chains, although his stats could have been even more impressive if not for two failed passes. Despite these drops, Bowers continues to solidify his position as one of the league’s top tight ends, averaging 2.54 yards per carry in this game.
Bowers is averaging an impressive 2.03 yards per carry this season, fifth among all tight ends.
