The Indian cricket team held its first training session on Tuesday after a heavy loss to Australia in the pink-ball Test match. Although most of India’s cricketers were present at the meeting, two key players were absent: Jasprit Bumrah And Mohammed Siraj. According to the report Sydney Morning Heraldboth fast bowlers missed training due to workload management. However, the sight of Bumrah spending time with the Indian strength and conditioning coach on the sidelines of a training session has caused huge concern. During the second Test match, Bumrah was seen holding his inner thigh in pain and although he continued to bowl, some experts remained concerned.

Former Australian cricketer and fast bowler. Damien Fleming reacted to Bumrah missing training in Adelaide and said there would be “serious doubts” when it comes to him.

“There must be serious doubts. Siraj may have something to do with the workload, but I’m baffled that Bumrah ruined it. They could have hidden it. They showed their hand,” he said on SEN Radio.

“It can’t be a cramp. He was very cheerful after the first innings break. He bowled again, but not as slowly in the second innings. I don’t even know why he lost it (in the second innings). It actually revealed some secrets to everyone,” he added.

Earlier, India’s bowling coach Morne Morkel had assured that it was just a cramp and the pacemaker was “fine”. Bumrah, who took the match with eight wickets in India’s 295-run series-opening win, showed signs of discomfort while bowling the 81st over of Australia’s innings.

He was assessed by the team physiotherapist but immediately resumed bowling, completing his over and bowling three more overs later in the session.

“First of all, he is fine with Bumrah; it was just a cramp. Yes, even because after that, you know, he played and you got wickets twice,” Morkel said at the post-match press conference.
