‘Perfect in practice’: Michael Vaughan’s brutal excavations at Yashasvi Jaiswal. Ravi Shastri is perplexed

It seemed that Yashasvi Jaiswal developed a counteraction plan Mitchell Starknew threat to the ball. However, just two balls into India’s first innings in the ongoing third Test against Australia, Starc caught Jaiswal at square leg. After India bowled out Australia for 445 early in the third day’s session, Jaiswal bowled before the start of India’s innings. He bowled one towards the Australian team, but the ball hit the leg of a Cricket Australia cameraman.

After being sacked, the former England captain Michael Vaughn launched a crafty attack on Jaiswal after the youngster failed to repeat his shot attempts during the match.

“Five minutes before Jaiswal came out, this is the shot he was practicing: a shot through mid-wicket, a wonderful shot and good balance. And then you get into the match and it’s the same shot, but it goes up in the air, just snaps it. the pressure of the game, in practice everything is perfect,” Vaughn said on air.

Former Head Coach of Team India Ravi Shastri also expressed disbelief over the dismissal, highlighting how Jaiswal managed to find the only fielder in the region despite having enough space to fill the gap.

“Can you imagine that there will be a catch here? A man right in front of square, acres of space on the side and Jaiswal hits it straight to the fielder,” Shastri noted.

Meanwhile, rain stopped play in the third session of the third day of the ongoing Test match at the Gabba on Monday as India continued to trail Australia by 394 runs.

At Stamps Stadium on day three, the visitors are struggling at 51/4 with a right-handed batting order. KL Rahul (33*) and team captain Rohit Sharma (0*) unbeatable at the crease.

The Rohit Sharma-led side resumed the third session at 48/4, trailing by 397 runs, with K.L. Rahul and captain Rohit Sharma were unbeaten on 30 (52) and 0 (1) respectively.

Much of the third session was washed out as rain continued to fall throughout the session. There were only three overs in this third and final session of the day, out of which the Indian team could only score three runs.
