Suryavanshi recently became the youngest player to score a century when he achieved success in the India U-19 Youth Test against Australia U-19 in Chennai, scoring 104 in just 62 innings.
He also made his T20 debut for Bihar in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Rajasthan on Saturday, scoring 6 and 13 balls.
Having made an impact at the junior level, Suryavanshi is yet to play any significant role in first-class cricket as his average is only 10 after five matches and his best score is 41.
He hails from Samastipur and made his debut at the age of 12 years and 284 days against Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy last season, becoming the youngest player in the history of the competition.
Moreover, Suryavanshi was only 12 years old when he played Vinoo Mankad Bihar Trophy, scoring nearly 400 runs in just five matches.

“There are ten, nine other teams and they are all very well prepared and all very well planned. You have to be able to think on your feet, you have to have a plan A, B, C, D. Yes, it was quite challenging at times, but it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it.”
