Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim only joined the club in November but already seems to be running out of patience with the performances and players at his disposal. In a movement that is not usually typical for AmorimThe Portuguese international reportedly damaged a giant TV in the Manchester United dressing room in a fit of rage following his side’s 3-1 home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion. The result was United’s seventh defeat in 15 games under Amorim, leaving them 13th in the Premier League table.
After the defeat, Amorim called United’s current squad “the worst in the club’s history” and appeared to show no mercy to his players.
According to a British media report AthleticAmorim couldn’t hold back his emotions after the defeat, angrily letting the Manchester United players know his displeasure after his defeat.
In the process, the Portuguese manager reportedly damaged a giant television in the United dressing room, which is usually used for tactical training before games. The screen will reportedly need to be fixed before United’s next game against Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Amorim is reported to be a fairly calm person, whether he wins or loses, and prefers to save his match analysis for the day after the game. So his rage after the 3-1 defeat to Brighton seemed rather uncharacteristic.
The report also states that Amorim has previously stated that he is trying to shock his players and other club members with his words, but the results continue to be disappointing.
The current Manchester United squad is struggling to adapt to Amorim’s innovative 3-4-3 formation. The only positives of note were a 2-1 win over Manchester City and a spirited 2-2 draw with league leaders Liverpool.
However, Amorim, 39, appears to be backed by club co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, with United looking for full-back options in the January transfer window.
United Stars Marcus Rashford And Alejandro Garnacho did not play a significant role under Amorim and, apparently, are already leaving.
