The pink-ball Test between India and Australia may be over, but the players continue to practice hard in the Adelaide nets. After just two days and one session of day and night testing; Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gilletc. decided to net the hard yards in Adelaide before flying to Brisbane for the third Test of the series. Ahead of the Gabba match, Rohit Sharma’s batting performance has become one of the biggest topics of discussion among experts. However, the Indian captain doesn’t seem willing to change anything.
Rohit batted at number six in the pink ball Test and was given permission. KL Rahul continue to open in parallel Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rahul and Rohit both failed to score, leading to discussions that Hitman should regain the opening spot. However, Rohit seems to want to play in the middle order for at least one more match.
The broadcaster reported from India’s net session in Adelaide on Tuesday that there was no change in the Indian team’s batting order from the pink-ball Test.
In the nets, Virat Kohli had issues pressing the ball with his back foot as well as his front foot and was subsequently caught in a slip. Rohit, on the other hand, continued to occupy a middle-order position.

Broadcasters KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal performed their hits first, followed by Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, rishabh pants. So, the batting order indicates that Rohit may not be keen on shifting Rahul to the middle-order position at the Gabba.
Both Rohit and Rahul failed to produce fruitful results in the pink-ball Test that ended on Sunday. However, it seems like the team management is not willing to give up on Rahul as an opener at this point, especially considering his performance in the Perth Test.
While Rohit may be keen on taking up the opening role himself, his selfless act proved once again that the Hitman always prioritizes the team over his personal comfort.
