The pink ball Test between India and Australia may be over, but the players are still hard at work in the Adelaide nets. After completing the day-night test in just 2 days and one session, people like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gilletc decided to put the hard yards in the nets in Adelaide before they flew to Brisbane for the third Test of the series. Ahead of the Gabba clash, Rohit Sharma’s position was one of the most discussed topics among pundits. However, it doesn’t look like the India captain is ready to change anything.
Rohit took sixth place in the pink ball Test, allowing KL Rahul continue to open up together Yashasvi Jaiswal. Both Rahul and Rohit failed to perform, leading to discussions that the Hitman should reclaim the top spot. But Rohit seems keen to play at least one more game in the middle order.
From India’s net sessions in Adelaide on Tuesday, the broadcaster reported that there was no change in India’s batting order after the pink-ball Test.
In the nets, Virat Kohli worked on his back foot as well as the problem of pressing the ball with his front foot, subsequently getting into slips. Meanwhile, Rohit continued to occupy his place in the middle order.

Broadcaster KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal were the first to deliver hits, followed by Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant. So the batting order indicates that Rohit may not be interested in Rahul being moved into the middle order at the Gabba.
Neither Rohit nor Rahul performed productively in the pink-ball Test that concluded on Sunday. But it doesn’t look like the team management is going to give up on Rahul as an opener at this point, especially considering how he performed in the Perth Test.
Rohit might have wanted to take on the lead role himself, but his selfless act once again proved that the Hitman always puts his team before his personal comfort.
