Skenes sets Pirates season mark for strikeouts by a rookie since 1900

PITTSBURGH — Paul Skenes had another quality start at PNC Park on Monday, leading the Pirates to a 3-2 win in their series opener against the Marlins. Skenes pitched in the sixth inning for the first time in three starts as the Pirates closely monitored his workload.
