• Emergence of more high-quality rookie pass rushers: Layato Latu And Chop Robinson had the best performance of their young career in Week 12.
• Bad week for pectoral muscles: Brandon Graham, Jordan Whitehead And Jalen Pitre all had torn pectoral muscles, leaving some targets for abandonment by their replacements.

WIRE FAILURE
Be sure to check out the players who received waivers last week. Here.
- LB Malik Harrison, Baltimore Ravens: Harrison was on the waiver wire list last week, but he’s worth highlighting again after leading the Ravens in linebacker usage with Roquan Smith out. Harrison hasn’t played full-time as the team has opted for a larger rotation, but his use is clearly the best of any option in the major leagues.
- LB Isaiah McDuffie, Green Bay Packers: WITH Edgerrin Cooper After leaving the game, McDuffie entered the game almost full time, playing 95% of the Packers’ defensive snaps before the garbage half. Given the short week, McDuffie could get another chance to start if Cooper misses Week 13, making him a prime waiver target at the position.
- LB Nick Niemann, Los Angeles Chargers: WITH Denzel Perryman And Junior Colson Still on injured reserve, Niemann moved to a secondary linebacker role. However, that role accounted for only 49% of snaps because the team relied on three backs, so trusting Niemann if Perriman misses another game makes very little sense, but for the deepest leagues he could still have some value.
- LB Tyrell Dodson, Miami Dolphins: One day Dodson took a permanent position Anthony Walker did not play in this game and will likely continue to do so in any games Walker may miss. Dodson could be added as a potential plug-and-play option in a short week when the team plays Thursday night in Week 13.
- LB Ye Gruger Hill, Minnesota Vikings: Grugier-Hill could be an opt-out option in very deep leagues as he isn’t expected to play anywhere close to a regular role in the lineup Blake Cashman in the composition and even with Ivan Pace out. He’ll likely play at best 65% of his team’s defensive snaps while Pace is out.
- LB Payton Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers: WITH Elandon Roberts After leaving the game, Wilson played 95% of the remaining snaps the rest of the game. If Roberts misses more time, the Steelers could similarly rely on the rookie due to their lack of options at the position right now, making him an intriguing target for waivers this week.
- WITH Jonathan Owens, Chicago Bears: WITH Jaquan Brisker about injured reserve and Elijah Hicks After missing this game due to injury, Owens has stepped into a full-time role and could have value for IDP if given the opportunity again, as well as getting some decent work in the box.
- WITH Mike Edwards, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Edwards replaced Whitehead as the starting cornerback next to Antoine Winfield Jr. until the end of this game. Christian Isien continued to work as the primary slot defender. With Whitehead out for the year, Edwards could find some value for IDP as a full-time guard if he retains that role.
- WITH Mike Brown/Daryl Worley, Tennessee Titans: With both Quandre Diggs And Amani Hooker for this game Mike Brown returned to full-time work while Daryl Worley also got a chance to start. Neither player has been overly effective at utilizing their opportunities, but in deep leagues they can at least be added as a depth option if Hooker misses more time. Brown should be a priority.
- KB Josh Butler, Dallas Cowboys: Butler replaced the injured Trevon Diggs and there were clearly a lot of goals in this game. which led to excellent performance at cornerback, with a team-best 12 tackles, including a sack and three pass breakups. If/when Diggs returns, Butler will return to the bench, but it’s a short week and Butler could start again as a streaming CB option.
- EDGE Nolan Smith, Philadelphia Eagles: Smith played a season-high 61% of Philadelphia’s defensive snaps due to Brandon Graham injured and will likely continue to play a larger role for the rest of this season. Smith was quiet in the box but produced two QB hits and posted a strong 20% win rate, making him an intriguing option to consider in deeper formats.
